Boys Camp

1 week Camp for Black and Bi-Racial Black Identifying Youth Ages 13-20

Peace family! My name is Raashan Ahmad and I am the co-founder of Earthseed Black Arts Alliance the organization that is offering this program. I am a father of 2 boys who both grew up here in Santa Fe so I can fully understand the value of this program for our youth. Because of funding we have only been able to offer this program to girls in the past but thanks to our friends at New Mexico Women .org we are so excited to be able to launch our boys camp this year!
I am helping with some preliminary administration and during the camp we will have a number of Black and Bi-racial members of our community doing workshops and holding space but the program will officially led by Robert Washington-Vaughns who is the founder of The Black Men Flower Project , and a Manager at Los Alamos National Laboratory with a long history of dedication and contribution to the communities he's been a part of through filmmaking and philanthropy. A recent transplant to Santa Fe via Chicago. He is passionate about removing barriers to creative and educational opportunities for our youth!
